Wishes Really Do Come True

You should have seen the look on her face when she was told she needed
the eye patch, bliss. The eye patch was cool for about 45 minutes.
How am I going to get 4 hours a day in?

That is awesome! I love the eye patch. Maybe get her a pirate hat or something and play pirates? For four hours a day?

Oh maaaaaan..... didn't they have any with zippers? American Idol told me that was what all the cool kids are wearing these days.

Celeste was the same way until the first time a kid asked her why she was wearing a pirate patch. This was in Kindergarten. If your doc will let you, and if the patch becomes a problem, (which I am guessing it will,) ask to do atropine drops instead. WAAAAAY better option.
Celeste participated in a study in which they compared kids that did patching with kids that did the drops and there was no difference in the results.
At that age, she only had to have one drop in one eye one morning a week and that was it. Much much easier.

What happened?

I feel your pain! Kennedy had to do the stupid eye patch thing and STILL had to have surgery. Good luck with that.

Bribery always works with my kids. But they will do anything for sugar, you might not have such luck.

Cute though!

I don't know what I like better, the tiger pink eye patch, or the taped up glasses. ManicMandee could tell you if the eye drops hurt or not. I remember her using them on herself once. I think it was a parental demonstration.
