Busted!

Hazel was so excited for her glasses for about a day. After that, she
would take them off and lose them many times. She missed the bus a
couple times looking for them. Then this happened. She set them on
the ground... Is it wrong to just pretend that she doesn't need
them? They are so obviously thick...

I keep waiting for that to happen with Jacksons. He hasn't broken them ALL the way yet but they are slightly crooked now. :(

I have heard this is the WORST for the parents... my friend has bought at least 3 pairs of glasses per year since her kid got them at age 5... he's now 9. Yeah, that's alot ofa glasses. ::said with thick italian accent::

Hmmm- maybe go for contacts? I don't know if you have to be a certain ager for that.

Nobody hates having their kids in glasses more than me. I've got 3 and it totally sucks. We've thrown away way too much money on those things getting lost or broken. We've also said countless times, "Put your glasses on" or "Where are your glasses."

Liked all the posts on your blog this past week.

Congrats that Tom is about ready to move back with you for good. And good luck with starting it all up again in Idaho.

In our house this would happen weekly and then I would make some big announcement about the new rule. Then I would end up regretting it. Glad we don't have glasses, and gladder that this appears to be the first time.

She looks so cute in them, too bad she decided she didn't like them. It might be a problem if she doesn't wear them with that lazy eye though. Then she'll be stuck with a patch that she'll soon hate even worse than the glasses!

Nothing that a bit of masking tape couldn't fix, right?

Shoot. That stinks. I have had 2 kids in glasses since they were toddlers and I am constantly replacing lost/broken glasses.

It stinks.
