off guard by this massive thunder storm. I get the feeling she
doesn't want me to be sad today.

I can't believe it's been a whole year. I don't even know what else to say. Enjoy the thunderstorm, though. They always put me in perspective.
I am going to a bro/sis reunion for my aunts and uncles this weekend and it is the first one held since my dad died last year. I was planning on the pity party too but maybe I will take gratuitous shots of my new mulch (cocoa shells!) in the backyard instead. Thanks for the shot of positive.

That is awesome that your mom got the job of controlling the weather! That's the job I want too. If for no other reason than to send messages to my kids when they need it most.
